Fire Rescue Victoria headquarters is flooding

Last week we exposed that Fire Rescue Victoria’s Headquarters was literally crumbling — with chunks of concrete falling onto the footpath below.

Now it’s worse.

FRV members working inside the building have reached out showing serious plumbing failures in the basement, leaking and beginning to flood the site. The damage was so severe that water had to be shut off to the entire headquarters and Fire Station 01 on the same site, forcing emergency works just to keep the building operational.

This is the state of Victoria’s fire services in 2026:
🚒 failing fire trucks
🏢 unsafe workplaces
👩🏻‍🚒 frontline firefighters left to deal with the consequences

This isn’t bad luck. It’s neglect.

These failures demand transparency and accountability. That’s why a Parliamentary Inquiry into Fire Rescue Victoria is urgently needed.
